From Death Consciousness to Mass Immortality Consciousness

According to Dr. Bluford, humanity has lived for centuries under what he calls death consciousness—the inherited expectation that sickness, aging, physical decline, and death are natural, inevitable, and permanently beyond humanity’s ability to challenge.

He believes this expectation has influenced human thought, emotion, medicine, science, religion, relationships, institutions, economics, politics, culture, and civilization.

“We live to die, so we die. It is self-fulfilling,” said Dr. Larry Bluford, Sr., PhD.

Dr. Bluford describes Mass Immortality Consciousness as a shared human awakening that begins when people stop organizing their lives exclusively around the expectation of sickness, decline, and death and begin organizing their thoughts, conversations, actions, relationships, families, communities, institutions, scientific priorities, technologies, and civilizations around life, healing, happiness, perfect health, longevity, and immortality.

He believes this transformation cannot be accomplished by one person working alone. It requires a connected community of people consistently helping one another replace fear with hope, resignation with purpose, isolation with human connection, and death-centered expectations with life-centered possibilities.

According to Dr. Bluford, Mass Immortality Consciousness grows every time members of Immortality Nation:

  • Encourage one another to continue living.
  • Help one another move beyond fear, resignation, and despair.
  • Share constructive health, happiness, and well-being practices.
  • Encourage appropriate professional healthcare.
  • Speak about life and possibility instead of inevitability and defeat.
  • Protect the dignity, equality, and value of every human life.
  • Work together to make immortality a serious human objective.
  • Support responsible scientific research directed toward overcoming disease, biological aging, and death.
  • Cooperate across national, cultural, political, religious, racial, and economic divisions.

“Mass Immortality Consciousness is created when millions of people begin helping one another live as though life is humanity’s highest purpose,” said Dr. Bluford. “It is the shared consciousness of a community that refuses to abandon itself to sickness, despair, division, and death.”
